Prepare to worship Allah sincerely and follow the Prophet’s guidance. Repent, return the rights of others, and seek forgiveness from anyone you have wronged.
Take care of personal cleanliness
Before entering Ihram, attend to nails and other personal grooming if needed. Bathing before Ihram is recommended for men and women; inability to bathe is not a reason to pass the Miqat without Ihram.
Prepare the right clothing
Men wear the Izar around the lower body and the Rida over the upper body, normally covering both shoulders. Women wear loose, opaque clothing; no special color is required. The guide explains the rules on niqab, gloves, and perfume.
